Resident Engineer Wiring Harness Design

Your job:
The resident engineer is responsible for the liaison between Segula Office and the client. You need to identify the needs of the customer and take the initiative to come up with possible solutions that Segula can offer. You also need to build trust and be the spokesperson of Segula at the customer site and the other way around.

Your Responsibilities :

• Setting up and maintaining the interactive  functions and features document of the wiring harness.
• Defining the physical architecture of the wiring harness design.
• Translating functions and features into the 3D routing, 2D drawings, cut sheet and BOM.
• Initiating and driving FMEA, DFA and DFM session and implementing corrective actions afterwards.
• Taking care of the complexity of variants.
• Implementing change request from customer.
• Builds and maintains the design rules
• All of the wiring harness design related activities are carried out in close collaboration with the customer
• In the case activities are delegated to the team the resident engineer is responsible for correct implementation and documentation made by the team members.

Your Profile:

• Profound knowledge of  tooling  (CATIA, Unigraphics, Vesys,Capital, Saber )
• Problem solving ability/ analytical skills.
• Expert knowledge wiring harness design process.
• Able to lead a small team of designers.
• Engaging Personality, strongly involved at customer site.
• Leadership (Take initiative, self starting, able to influence others).
• Able to position your self as a full-fledged sparring partner to local Management.
• You have analytical skills  to identify steps to undertake and in which order (Self reflecting) .
• You have the ability to recognize when and on which topic  the customer needs his input or support.
• Able to direct the  Segula office to get the support you need for your client.
• Able to work collaboratively with others (Team player).
• Quickly accommodate to changing conditions.

Educational profile:

• Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic  Engineering, Hardware engineering on Masters or Bachelor level
• Work Experience:
• 3 till 5  years in the domain of wiring harness design
